Family Support Group

9.30am - 11.30am

A FREE friendly welcoming support group run by Emma, one of our parent support advisers (PSA's) for families who have a child with a disability or special educational needs.

Informal chats, advice, guidance and support along with refreshments and activities relating to SEND and well-being.

Children are always welcome - Parents & Carers are responsible for their children at all times.
Runs weekly during TERM TIME only.

Tuesdays starts 3rd March

Family Art Class

4.30pm - 6.30pm

Classes will be held in the Meeting Room and suitable for all ages.  Scott will teach you sketching techniques to develop your own style and release your creative potential.

Materials initially provided, bring your own refreshments. Don’t feel you have to stay for the whole 2 hours.

These classes are ongoing so no need to book, come along whenever you can and pay at the class (cash only). Regular attendance ensures you get the most from what Scott can offer in way of experience.

PUPPY CLASSES - Build on all the basics, lead work, recall and most of all focus and control and good socialisation skills 

SCENTWORK CLASSES - Doing something different with your dog using their noses, control focus and so much fun and for all ages and breeds and most of all a non injurious class so dogs that have problems examples hip problems, deaf or blind or for the oldies some fun for them too 🐕

BAM Fitness have a unique twist to Zumba. We love to teach tracks to pop, and chart remixes.


Lasers, spots and  disco lights are an integral part of our set up to create a great party atmosphere.

One hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods.


This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.

If you've got a sewing project, or need to spend some time on your knitting, or what about that crosstitch that's been sitting in a cupboard for months?....

.... Well, why not bring your work along to Lyng Village Hall and share an hour or so crafting with like-minded folk.

Or come along to watch and chat, or to learn a new craft - beginners welcome!

We only ask for a £2 donation towards running costs and refreshments are included.

Zumba® Gold

1.30 - 2.30pm

A low impact dance fitness class suitable for all ages. No dance skills required, just come in trainers or suitable footwear and wiggle, laugh, have fun and meet new friends!

Just £5 per session, pay as you go.

Zumba® Gold was designed for the active older adult, beginners, and people who are not used to exercising, or for people who may be limited physically. Same great Latin styles of music and dance are used as classic Zumba®. Classes strive to improve balance, strength, flexibility and the heart.

A group of enthusiastic badminton players meeting every Thursday for fun, thrilling matches amongst themselves.

If you haven't got a racket you can borrow one until you get one.

Flow - Movement to Music

9.00 - 9.45am

Flow is an eastern inspired movement to music which helps to build core strength, agility and balance.

It also aids concentration and relaxation.

Short-Mat & Carpet Bowls

6.00 - 7.00pm

Lyng Bowls Club are running weekly indoor bowls: They have two mats to play short-mat bowls on and an additional mat for carpet bowls which uses much smaller bowls and is suitable for children and family games.

Tuesdays 🕒Term Time

Little DuckLyngs Stay & Play

9.15 - 11.15am

Little DuckLyngs is a welcoming and supportive 'Stay & Play' group for babies, preschool children and their families every Tuesday in term time.

£2.50 per week to stay and play, including tea/coffee for grown ups and a healthy snack for the children.

ALSO a warm welcome to any other community members who would like to drop in for a cuppa.

Lyng Table Tennis Club🏓

The club is for players of all abilities.

Run by volunteer players in the local community who provide guidance for those who are just starting and for those keen to learn the basics of table tennis.


Just turn up, pay and play. Money raised covers hall fees and go towards maintaining the equipment.

Glow-Worms Sing & Sign

‘Glow-worms Sing & Sign’ is a baby class, suitable from birth until approximately 14 months. It’s a sensory session with a focus on sound, as we’ll sing familiar nursery rhymes and songs together each week. There’ll also be baby signing incorporated into the classes to enhance the communication with your little one(s).

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. 2 or 4 players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net.

Forrest Yoga with Juliet

£35 for five weeks (payable upfront) and booking is essential.

What is Forrest Yoga?
Forrest Yoga specifically addresses physical and emotional challenges brought about by injury, old pain patterns, illness and emotional stress. Forrest yoga connects you to your core and gets you strong – every pose has a reason.

You will be taught to breathe deeply and connect to ‘feeling’ in your body, working each pose in a way which works best for your physical and emotional injuries in a struggle-free way. We will work in an intelligent way using props such as straps, blocks and wedges so that you work at your own level, allowing progression and development in the fullness of time.

Glow-Worms & Fireflies

11.30am - 12.15pm

Glow-worms & Fireflies is a NEW music class which involves singing, imaginative dance and musical play.

The music will be a mixture of well known nursery rhymes and new songs too, composed to capture the imaginations of young children. The class is suitable for children 0-4 years, but geared towards active toddlers upwards. Younger siblings are welcome.

Classes are £4 for one child, £5 for two+. This will be on a pay as you go basis.
