The Queen's Jubilee is just about upon us, so dig out your wheelbarrows, decorate them with paraphernalia, fill them with your picnic, grab the kids and head down to Lyng Village Hall for a community picnic.
Before the picnic there'll be a church service at St. Margaret's plus an exhibition inside the church
There is going to be a treasure hunt through the village on the day too. Collect clues as you go and when you reach the Village Hall and complete the clues there is a goodie bag for the children (maps on sale at Lyng Stores or at the hall on the day).
Set up your picnic on the grass around the village hall. Inside the hall tables and chairs will be set out in case of inclement weather. Please bring your own plates, cutlery, cups etc. We have Cocky Dogs (hot dog van), The Bucket List (chips) and IceDream (ice cream van) coming, so nobody will go hungry.
There will be:- -COMPETITION for the best dressed wheelbarrow -Music -Children's Art Competition
The playing field is there for your use if you want to arrange games of rounders, wheelbarrow races etc
PLEASE can we have some sponsorship from local business (this is a not-for-profit event by Village Hall volunteers). We'd like to hand out prizes and mementoes to mark such a special day.
If anyone can help please contact Lyngvillagehall.email@example.com - your contributions would be very welcome!
